Pitlands Barns is situated on a working farm in the heart of the South Downs National Park in an area of outstanding natural beauty. From the top of the farm on a clear day, there are stunning views of Chichester harbour and the Isle of Wight. Walk or cycle on the many footpaths and bridleways through ancient woodlands and beautiful countryside in the surrounding area. These footpaths link to the Southdowns Way, a 100 mile footpath stretching from Winchester to Eastbourne.

Portsmouth lies 15 miles away with its Historic Dockyard and shopping, restaurants and entertainment at Gunwarf Quays. There are regular crossings to the Isle of Wight for day trips.
Goodwood Estate is 8 miles away with its horse racing, Festival of Speed and The Revival. Polo at Cowdray and horse racing at Fontwell are within easy reach too.
